Kilmarny Island

The last book I red this summer is Kilmarny Island.

The writer of this book is Julie Hart,  she was born on March 25, 1960 in Lestock, Saskatchewan, Canada as Julia A. Smadu. She was previously married to Bret Hart.




The book is about the Parkers family. They visit an eccentric aunt in ireland and they stay on a small island, in a house without electricity. One day the soon discover how different life is there. Since that moment, a lot of strange things starts to happen in the island.



I don´t like this book becouse is so boring and is not fun. Im not happy with it.

Metro 2033

This summer I read two books but in this entry I want to talk about one of them, Metro 2033.

The writer of this book is Dmitry Glukhovsky, he has borne in Moscow the 12 of June 1979. Actually he is writer and journalist.
He studied in Germany and France and he published this first novel in 2002.
He is famous in Russia for his novels "Metro 2033" and "Twilight".

This book is about when a nuclear war starts, the people who survived refuge into the Moscow metro station. Inside the station, the people create a new governament form, a new religion and a new army to protect them of the mutants living in this new world. I like very much this book, I thing is increible becouse you enter in the difficult life of the people who life inside the station. It is very hard and powerful, so it is a perfect book.

I really have enjoyed this book becouse is very interesting and along the story always is happening things, so its very funny.

Ibiza 2013

 This summer also I went to one of my favourites places in Spain, Ibiza. In this small island I visited a lot of places, beaches (like Cala Compte, Cala Tarida, Cala Bassa, Cala Llenya, etc.),small towns and hippy concerts. Also I did a lot of things like diving, banana, aquatic bike, a photography reportage, etc. In the last day of the travel we take a boat for go to Formentera. I enjoyed a lot in Formentera becouse is a very small and beautiful island, with no more people living there. Some things I like in Formentera are the green and lush vegetation and the blue and clean water in the beaches (it is very good for dive).

I like very much this travel and I would like

to go back someday.

London 2013

This summer I went to one of the most important cities in the world, London. I have been there for two weeks with my fiends Pau and Julia. Going to this country was one of the best travels that I ever do.

In London we meet a lot of cultures becouse we had to live with Russian, Italian, Chinese, Brazilians, Ukrainians, French, English, Spanish and Turkish people. Also we learnt more english, we made new friends, we knew different cultures, etc.

But the most important thing is that we had fun a lot meeting new people and the culture.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

In this entry, I want to speak about one of my favourite group of music, the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The Red hot Chili Peppers are a very famous group of rock.  

The musical history of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers begins in The Angels, in 1982, when several friends come together to form a band and play in nightclubs. The four friends were: Michael Balzary (Flea) on bass, Hillel Slovak (guitar), Jack Irons (drums) and vocalist Anthony Keidis.
  
Her first big show was at a concert, where to get attention they undressed to act. This gave them a tremendous publicity in The Angels and earned them to sign a contract with a big label.
Slovak and Irons left the group to pursue other jobs and were replaced by Cliff Martinez and Jack Sherman, and in 1984 released their first album, 'Red Hot Chilli Peppers', which was not too successful. 

After this, Slovak returns to the group replacing Sherman and they engage to promoted through concerts, before editing there second album, 'Freaky Styley', with a new producer. This time the luck smiled they and were a very important band in the United States. 

After a while, Jack Irons returned and replaced Cliff Martinez, returning to the origins of the group. But something had changed. The problems of drug addiction in  Slovak  began to give problems at the group.
With his next album ('Uplift Mofo Party Plan') achieved many sales. After the tour of the album, Slovak died of an overdose, and it seemed the end of the band.

In 1989, the guitarist John Frusciante and the drummer Chad Smith joined the band with Flea and Keidis. They were back on track.

 Other albums from the Red Hot Chili Peppers are: One Hot Minute, I'm Whit You, By The Way,  Stadium Arcadium, Californication  and my favourite:   Mothers Milk.

My Mrs. Right

In this entry I want to speek about my Mrs. Right. For me, a perfect woman have to be nice, comprehensive and especially to have a loving , pretty and fun look. 
Also, she has to be fair and she have to like helping people.
Physically, I like se was half-height, with brown hair and interesting green eyes. Also, I would like that she be thin, but not overly. 
My perfect woman would really like music, movies, sports, etc. Also, I would like that her plays an instrument.

Carnival

What is carnival?

It is an annual celebration of life found in many countries of the world. And in fact, by learning more about carnival we can learn more about ourselves and a lot about accepting and understanding other cultures.


Where did the word “carnival” come from?

Hundred and hundreds of years ago, the followers of the Catholic religion in Italy started the tradition of holding a wild costume festival right before the first day of Lent. Because Catholics are not supposed to eat meat during Lent, they called their festival, carnevale — which means “to put away the meat.” As time passed, carnivals in Italy became quite famous; and in fact the practice spread to France, Spain, and all the Catholic countries in Europe. Then as the French, Spanish, and Portuguese began to take control of the Americas and other parts of the world, they brought with them their tradition of celebrating carnival.

In modern times Carnival has evolved into grand spectaculars arround the world including Rio de Janeiro, Jamaica, Russia, Japan and the Chinese New Year.

Personal opinion:

I enjoy Carnival, because I like dressing up and having fun with everyone.

   
My costum: 
  
My costume was of elvis presley. I had a white jacket with colored sequins and white pants bell. I also wore a sequined belt. In hair, I had a toupee, fake sideburns and I dye my hair black. I also had sunglasses.

Carnival in my school:

In Escuela 2, Carnival is very funny. The tradition is that a teacher disguised as carnival king
and gives sweets to the students to be dressed. Students who are not dressed, the carnival king throw they flour. Also we do a costume contest, and the winners will get a prize.

What's good about original language TV?

Original version TV is good becouse you can see the facial expresions, hear the pronunciation as they speak and you can learn new languages.
Also the jokes make better sense, the customs of the country of origin are not changed to meet the audience's and, with the subtitles, you have help to understand.
Other times, when you see a film in spanish, the voices are very different than in original version, so I think is better hear their real voices.

Christmas Holidays 2012

I like very much this holidays. I was doing many things, for exemple: Meet with my family, Go out with my friends, play guitar, make presents, etc. The night before Christmas day, I celebrate my dad's birthday with my family, we had a great time together. The Christmast day, my parents gave me a longboard. It was very fun. Then, I went with my family to my grandparent's house. we dinner there. After dinner, my parents, uncles and grandparents, give me and my cousins money.

The folowing days, I go out with my friends and I have been relaxed. In hogmanay, I went to Denia with friends and some family. The kings day my parents gave me a lot of presents, for exemple: Clothes, a videogame, shoes, money, a tuner for guitar, elbow and knee pads, etc. Then, my family came to my house to dinner. It was a very funny Christmas and I had a lot of great times.
