The Walking Dead Book one

This summer I red The Walking Dead book one. It is an horror and survival book that was published on June 19, 2006. The writers are Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, Charlie Adlard and Cliff Rathburn. It was written in USA. After writing the book, have made a show in the American television channel AMC.

Robert Kirkman came to fame are his successful series Invincible and The Walking Dead, published by Image Comics. His dedication to the world of the book helped make partner at Image Comics in 2008.

The Walking dead is about Rick Grimes, an american police officer who lives with his wife and son.
One day, Rick is seriously wounded during a shootout. On the verge of death, his colleague and best friend Shane takes him to the hospital. Rick remains in a coma for six months. When he wakes up, he finds himself alone in a world where the dead have risen and feed on the living. Rick will join other survivors and will not rest until he found his wife and son.

I love this book, it is intriguing, very entertaining and funny. Some things I like from this book are the radical turns of events in the story, the evolution of the characters during the book, the ability of the story to put the reader in the situation of each character and that the focus of the story are the living, not the dead.
I recommend it to everyone.

Denia summer 2014

Every summer I go to Denia, because a friend of my parents has a house there. We usually stay in her home, but, this year we bought a house there, on the beach.
It will be more fun.

Denia's origins date back to the Iberian culture, it is at this time when this town that grew up at the foot of the Montgo mountain (753 meters) was created.

This village was populated by Iberians, Romans, Visigoths and Muslims. All of these civilizations greatly influenced Denia, enriching it in every way.

On the slopes of the Montgo, archaeologists have discovered settlements such as Punta de Benimaquia (IV century BC) and Pico del Aguila, (I IV century BC.)

But the foundation of the city is attributed to the Greeks, they built this small colony dubbed Hemeroskopeion.

This year in Denia, I did the same as what I do every year: I went to the beach, I relaxed, I swam, I went on excursions, I dived in seacaves, I ran every afternoon...
Also I did something new: Paddle Surf.

It is a sport in which you use a surfboard with a paddle.
This is to keep your balance above the board and row with the oar with both hands to move the board forwards, backwards, left or right.

I enjoyed this trip a lot and I hope to enjoy it every year in our new summer house.

How I Met Your Mother

This summer I saw a show which I really enjoyed. It's name is How I Met Your Mother.
It's a comedy created by Craig Thomas and Carter Bays. This show premiered on September 19th, 2005 and ended on March 31st, 2014.

Its leading actors are:

Josh Radnor (as Ted Mosby), Neil Patrick Harris (as Barney Stinson), Cobie Smulders (as Robin Scherbatsky), Jason Segel (as Marshall Eriksen) and Alyson Hannigan (as Lily Aldrin).

In New York city (in 2030) Ted Mosby tells his children the story of how he met their mother. He tells them the anecdotes and stories that he lived with his friends Marshall, Lily, Robin and Barney, and (after going through several relationships) how he met his future wife and mother of his children.

I love this show because it is very funny and I laughed a lot with the characters. Also I like the role changes that happen in the show. My favourite character is Barney because he's very funny, crazy, spontaneus and a perfectionist. He always tries to flirt with every woman he can, without any commitment (a tease)

I put here a trailer of the show, enjoy it!
